Barbara Sachsel

Barbara Sachsel was truly the "Founding Mother" of NOHA with her great interest in and broad knowledge of nutrition and good health. She was deeply concerned about how little attention was (and still is) paid to these important aspects of life by most doctors and the growing "junk" and "convenience" food industries. Ms Sachsel's vision was of a truly objective source of good nutrition and health information, run entirely by dedicated volunteers like herself, without any financial support (and therefore limiting control) from industry or government. Her vision led to the founding of NOHA over 30 years ago.
